My career in Special Education is a 15-year journey built on the belief that every student deserves an environment where they can thrive. My diverse background spans from leading functional academic classrooms and providing life skills instruction to co-teaching and facilitating crucial IEP support as an acting LEA. I'm also proud of the time I spent creating a successful, research-based restorative program aimed at providing supportive interventions for students displaying disruptive behaviors, hoping to avoid additional consequences.

Three years ago, I embarked on what is easily my favorite professional chapter: becoming the Yorkville Transition Program Coordinator. With the phenomenal support of the Student Services and District Office Team, I took on the challenge of opening the program from the ground up—before the building was even ready for students. I have since overseen the program's growth, cultivating a dedicated team of professionals—from related services to paraprofessionals—who shares YTP's Mission and Vision. The Yorkville Transition Program is a true reflection of my core values in special education.

As a resident of Yorkville, along with my husband and three young daughters, I'm a proud member of the Fox community, and my greatest hope is to continue creating an environment where every individual who comes through our doors feels they are forever a Fox.
